I couldn’t think of a better job than nursing. It’s dirty, rugged, and fast. And no two days are the same; one day is easy and boring, the next, you can’t catch a break. Oh, and the stories are innumerable and so unique.
I’ve been at the bedside now twelve years now. I cut my teeth on a med-surg floor, moved to a telemetry unit, and finally found my home in the ICU nine years ago. I’ve worked thru the covid pandemic, recovered open-heart patients, and obtained a masters in nursing eduction along the way.
This is my next leap, my next venture in nursing: creating a unique, artistic, educational environment to help nursing students and new-grad nurses not just survive, but thrive in this beautiful, wild career. I hope you join me for the ride
